Kape Norte case.
A neighborhood café with no online presence wants a single page that shows the menu, today's hours, and where to find them.
The problem.
A neighborhood café with no online presence wants a single page that shows the menu, today's hours, and where to find them.
Goal
Ship a small, fast site that solves the immediate need without over-building. Keep maintenance simple enough that the owner can update basic content without help.
Design direction.
A calm, readable layout. Typography that holds up at small sizes. Photographs and product details given enough space to breathe. Mobile-first so the page works first on the device most local customers actually use.
What was built.
- Landing page
- Menu CMS
- Hours and location
Role: Strategy, design, frontend build, CMS setup, deployment.
Screenshots
Technical notes
Built with Next.js, semantic HTML, and CSS tokens. Hand-coded animations only where they help comprehension. Accessibility passes for keyboard navigation and reduced motion. Forms submit to a real inbox or CMS, not a fake success state.
Outcome
Outcome tracking pending.
What I would improve next.
Add measured outcomes once the site is live for 30 to 60 days: top entry pages, time on key sections, and any inquiry counts the owner is willing to share. Revisit copy after the first round of real customer feedback.
